MCA show and Newcity Chicago listing/album review
A reminder that Smallwire will be appearing at Chicago's Museum of Contemporary Art this coming Tuesday, February 5, 2008, at 6:30 PM. We are performing this free, all-ages show as a part of the MCA's Magical Musical Showcase Series. Many thanks to Schuba's for having invited Smallwire to be showcased in this series. We are preparing special arrangements of our songs, many of which will feature a string trio. For which purpose, we'll be joined by Kevin Davis on cello and Andra Durham on viola.
Also, Newcity Chicago's Tom Lynch lists Smallwire's MCA appearance as its Tip of the Week, saying very complimentary things about our new album Songs for Sleeping In, to be released in Japan on Moorworks (with bonus-tracks) in April of 2008.
